On November 27, 2024, Whitman County Deputies received a 911 call indicating that a drunk woman involved in a domestic dispute took off in her vehicle. Deputy Pilloud located the woman and initiated a traffic stop. The woman admitted to consuming alcohol, so she was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests. This included a preliminary breath test and the result was 0.197% BAC. She was placed under arrest and that is when she turned hostile and vulgar. She had to be forced into the back of the Sheriff's vehicle and that is where she allegedly sustained a black eye. At the Whitman County Jail, she refused to submit to an evidential breath test. She was then transported to the emergency room to have her eye looked at. She was charged with Driving Under the Influence. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
