A 2019 Honda Civic had smashed into a telephone pole and split it in two. The front end looked wrecked. Airbags had popped inside. Smith spotted the driver right away. He knew her as Taylor. He had pulled her over earlier that night. Soon, Officer Cole Szymanski, Officer Scott Myers, Corporal Daniel Parrish, and Sergeant Kirk Griffin showed up to help. Szymanski asked Taylor what went wrong. She said she tried calling her boyfriend. He had dumped her that day. She was driving home from his place. As they talked, he smelled alcohol on her. But they skipped sobriety tests. She seemed hurt. The crash, the alcohol smell, and her shaky state led to an arrest for DUI. A quick search of her car turned up a legal drug. It could mess with driving if used first. Cops impounded the Honda for 12 hours under John's Law. Long Valley First Aid took Taylor to Morristown Medical Center. Corporal Parrish got a warrant for her blood. Szymanski watched the draw at the hospital. The sealed kit went to the New Jersey State Police lab in East Hanover. Tests showed a BAC of 0.116% g/100mL. After that, Parrish and Szymanski drove Taylor to the police station for booking. There, they read her Miranda rights. She stayed quiet. Once paperwork wrapped up, they took her home. Her mom signed the liability form. Cops let her go. Taylor got tickets for DUI, underage DUI, reckless driving, wrong lane, phone use, and no seatbelt. Court files show Taylor pled guilty on March 31, 2024, to DUI and phone use. She did 12 hours at a drunk driver center. She fitted an ignition lock for three months. Fines hit $880. The other four tickets got dropped in the deal. 40:34 She’s just now realizing the car is totaled. She hit the pole hard and fast 🤦🏻♀️ If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video.
