On September 25, 2025, California Highway Patrol officers responded to Numa Road near Spring Ridge Road to assist a Lassen County sheriff’s deputy. The deputy had been searching for a vehicle possibly connected to a reported physical altercation when he encountered a sedan with the occupants yelling and initiated a traffic stop. The deputy noticed signs of alcohol impairment and called for a CHP unit to conduct a DUI investigation. During the DUI investigation, the driver told officers she had consumed one BuzzBall alcohol drink a few hours earlier and was heading home. The investigating officer reported red, watery eyes, an odor of alcohol, slurred speech, and an unsteady walk. Officers administered field sobriety tests and a preliminary alcohol screening test the results were: PAS tests: .112% and .109%. The post-arrest chemical breath tests results were: .09% and .09% CHP officers arrested the driver and transported her to the Susanville Area office for the chemical breath testing before booking her into Lassen County Jail on the following charges: •23152(A) - DUI Alcohol/Drugs •23152(B) - DUI Alcohol W/BAC Above .08 •23140(A) - Minor Driving with BAC Of .05 Or More Lassen County Sheriff's Deputies Involved: Deputy Loflin Sergeant Heffley California Highway Patrol Officers Involved: Officer N.
