It raced north on Norwood Avenue at 52 mph in a 25 mph zone. He chased it. He pulled it over near Norwood and Park Avenues in Long Branch. Redy stepped out and met the driver. She was 28-year-old Aymira Rivera-Torres. Right away, she refused to hand over her papers. Later, she said she came from Asbury Park with friends. She would not name the spot. Aymira finally gave her license. Redy went back to his car to check it. He smelled trouble. He thought she might be drunk. He called for help. Sergeant Brad Kerney and Patrolman Noah DeFazio showed up. They told Aymira to step out. She had to do sobriety tests. She stalled a bit. Then she tried the eye test called Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus. Both officers saw signs she was impaired. Next, she got rude for more tests. They tried many times. At last, they arrested her for drunk driving. Before the patrol car, she said take her to the hospital. She claimed she was pregnant. Medics came to check. She said no to the ride. Police held her car 12 hours under John's Law. Redy drove her to the Deal station. There, they read her the breath test rules. She would not blow enough. They finished the papers. Around 3:10 a.m., a sober friend took her home. He signed the warning form. Aymira got these tickets: drunk driving, breath test refusal, reckless driving, careless driving, speeding, no registration. Her past arrests include these: Disorderly conduct in Long Branch on March 20, 2022. Aggravated assault on a cop in Long Branch on March 12, 2022. Simple assault in Long Branch on March 31, 2016. Disorderly conduct in Neptune Township on March 16, 2016. Shoplifting in West Long Branch on February 23, 2016. Hindering arrest in Little Silver on September 14, 2015. She also has old speeding tickets from Colts Neck, Wall, Ocean Township, Marlboro Township, and Oceanport. 2:46 Car sounds like a tractor😮 no oil? 17:26 Just listen to her complain about "not even supposed to be out here" and she's pregnant for the 30th time.
