Once he arrived, he spoke with the drivers. The Honda’s driver was 19-year-old Araceli Riverahuaman. The driver of the Volkswagen was identified as Kenneth Hubschman. Kenneth told the officer that he was working for Uber. He was headed south on Franklin Road to pick up a passenger when she sideswiped him going northbound. The damage on his vehicle was mostly on the driver’s side. Soon after, Officers Kevin Pisano and Christopher Ordway showed up to help. Officer Ordway talked to Araceli while she sat in the Honda. She said she had been out earlier that night with friends in Newark. While speaking with her, the officer noticed open containers inside her car. She admitted she had been drinking alcohol earlier. The officer then asked her to step out so Officer Pisano could conduct field sobriety tests. Officer Pisano began with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test. He noticed her eyes struggled to follow smoothly and saw nystagmus at maximum deviation. Next, she took the Walk and Turn test. She failed to touch heel-to-toe each step, turned the wrong way, and didn’t count aloud. The last test was the One Leg Stand. Because of the crash, her drinking admission, and her poor performance on the tests, Officer Pisano arrested Araceli for DUI. During a search of her vehicle, officers found several open containers and a large amount of cash. Her car was towed and held for 12 hours under John’s Law. Officer Pisano then took her to the police station for processing. At the station, Araceli was read her rights as a driver. She agreed to give a breath sample. The test results showed she was over the legal limit for someone under 21. After processing, she was released to a friend to await her court date. She signed a form waiving her rights on her behalf. She received citations for driving under the influence, underage DUI, reckless driving, careless driving, and failure to stay in her lane. 16:50 sounds like this is gonna be evidence in a future legal case lol If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video.
