In May 2024, an officer with the Euless Police Department attempted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle for a defective license plate light and failure to maintain a single lane. Instead of pulling over, the driver accelerated, initiating a high-speed pursuit spanning multiple cities across North Texas. During the chase, the suspect leaned out of the driver's side window and fired multiple rounds directly at pursuing officers. After spike strips were successfully deployed, the vehicle came to a stop and officers conducted a high-risk felony stop. Watch the full bodycam and dashcam footage documenting the pursuit, tactical arrest, and case outcome.
