Bodycam footage captures the tense traffic stop and subsequent arrest of an underage driver, Jada Davis, for DUI. An officer initially pulled Davis over for driving without her tail lights on. During the interaction, the officer detected the smell of alcohol and began a DUI investigation. Davis initially denied consuming alcohol but later admitted to drinking at a party. She proceeded to fail multiple field sobriety tests. A breathalyzer test revealed her blood alcohol content was .103, which is over the legal limit, particularly for a driver under the age of 21. When the officer informed Davis she was under arrest, the situation rapidly escalated. Davis refused to comply, attempted to re-enter her vehicle, and tried to drive away from the scene. The bodycam video shows the ensuing physical struggle as officers worked to remove her from the car and place her in handcuffs. After being subdued, Davis complained of injuries and stated she was afraid of white police officers. She was ultimately charged with Felony Aggravated Battery of a Peace Officer, Resisting a Peace Officer, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, and Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Officers. == Disclaimer: This video footage was obtained from a law enforcement agency through a public records request under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
