The call was near River Drive and Market Street. Soon after, he saw a white Chrysler van. It was a 2010 model. The van moved slowly. It also weaved between lanes. It was heading south on River Drive. Officer Rodriguez turned on his lights. This started a traffic stop. The driver pulled over. This happened by River Drive and Locust Street. Officer Rodriguez spoke to the driver. Her name was Jenny Amadornicolas. He smelled alcohol on her. He also saw signs she was impaired. Sergeant Christopher Finn arrived to help. Officer Rodriguez moved Jenny's car. It went to a safe gravel lot. This stopped it from blocking traffic. The officers asked where she came from. She said she left a bar in Garfield. She also admitted drinking White Claws. Lieutenant Keith Hartmann came to the scene. Jenny was asked to do tests. These are called field sobriety exercises. Lieutenant Hartmann began with the HGN test. Jenny then refused other tests. Her driving was erratic. She showed signs of impairment. Alcohol smelled on her breath. She admitted drinking earlier. She could not complete the tests. Jenny was arrested for drunk driving. A search of her van found an open White Claw. John’s Law required her van to be towed. It would be held for 12 hours. Officer Rodriguez took her to the police station. The Standard Statement for Motor Vehicle Operators was read. Jenny agreed to breath tests. Lieutenant Hartmann gave her the Alcotest. This was after a 20-minute wait. Her BAC was 0.23%. This is almost three times the legal limit. The legal limit is 0.08%. After processing and tickets, she was released. A sober adult took her home. This person signed papers for her. She must go to court. Officer Rodriguez gave her these tickets: Operating under the influence Reckless driving Careless Driving Traffic on marked lanes Unsafe operation of a motor vehicle Driving without a license Driving an unregistered motor vehicle Failure to possess driver registration Failure to possess driver insurance card Driving with an expired license Open container Court records show Jenny was arrested before. This was for DWI in Parsippany, NJ. It was on November 6, 2022. If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video.
