On October 28, 2025, deputies responded after an off-duty deputy reported a vehicle driving erratically and raised concerns the driver may be impaired. When deputies arrived, they found the vehicle already stopped on the shoulder and began an investigation. According to the report, deputies documented observations consistent with impairment and conducted standardized field sobriety exercises. The report also records breath test results of .210 and .216. The investigation ended with an arrest for DUI. The driver was booked into the county jail on an enhanced DUI charge.
