Police came to do a welfare check on a 69-year-old woman reported missing by her family. Her son had a story. She went to Mexico. With a boyfriend. The neighbors didn't buy it. She could barely walk, they said. She'd been gone six weeks. He'd sold her car. He was trying to collect her Social Security check. Then an officer walked into the kitchen and opened the freezer. This video documents the full case — from the neighbors' first statements to the welfare check to the interview that followed. —————————————————— CHAPTERS 00:00 — The Welfare Check 00:28 — The Neighbors Talk 01:25 — "She Went to Mexico" 02:15 — The Fighting Before She Vanished 02:57 — The Social Security Check 03:12 — "She Could Barely Walk" 03:38 — Leroy Comes to the Door 04:50 — "It's Been a Rough Two Weeks" 06:55 — His Last-Seen Story 07:49 — The Officer Heads to the Kitchen 08:22 — The Freezer 09:05 — "She's in the Freezer." — "I Know." 10:31 — The Interview Begins 11:05 — Detectives Push for Answers 14:52 — Seventeen Years of Conflict 17:56 — The Confession 18:55 — "To Kill Her, Right?" 22:33 — "I Put Her in There" 23:37 — Ernestina Lucero, 69 —————————————————— This video discusses a death and its investigation.
