When informed the vehicle would be searched due to the odor of marijuana, she suddenly rushed back toward the car and began digging through her purse despite repeated commands to stop. Officers attempted to detain her, but she pulled her arms away and resisted efforts to be placed in handcuffs. A search of the purse revealed a driver’s license bearing her true identity, and investigators later determined she had knowingly provided false information because her license was suspended. Records confirmed a recent notice of suspension had been issued. She was ultimately arrested and charged with providing false information to law enforcement, driving with a suspended license with knowledge, and resisting an officer without violence.
