On Tuesday, 12/27/2023, an officer responded to a bar in reference to a trespasser. Another officer was present in a training capacity. Upon arrival, a person matching the description provided was observed standing in front of the establishment. A member of the bar staff also identified the individual as the subject of the call. As the officer approached the individual, she began to walk away despite repeated commands to stop. The officer initiated a custodial grasp to prevent further movement, but the individual resisted actively by attempting to pull away. Eventually, the individual was redirected to a nearby wall where she continued to resist physically. With the assistance of another officer, the individual was placed in handcuffs and secured in a patrol car. Further discussion with the staff revealed that the individual had been causing disturbances at the establishment, including climbing over railings and harassing a musician. The staff expressed alarm and fear due to the individual's behavior. Evidence, including a recording of the events, supported the staff's accounts. The individual was then transported to the County Detention Center where she continued to display disorderly behavior.
