Vermont Fugitive’s Attempt To Flee Deputies Ends In A Disaster The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit tracked down a 27-year-old female suspect wanted in Vermont for robbery, assault, and violation of probation. A deputy located the suspect at a Palm Coast smoke shop, where she was observed running from the business while being chased by a store employee. The suspect entered her vehicle, ignored the deputy's activated emergency lights, and fled the scene. A second deputy intercepted the suspect as she pulled into the driveway of her residence. The suspect refused to exit the vehicle, actively resisted being placed in handcuffs, and later attempted to run away on foot while deputies waited for backup. She was swiftly secured in a patrol vehicle and transported to the local detention facility on multiple felony warrants and new charges including fleeing law enforcement and attempted escape.
