On December 11, 2023 at approximately 8:35 am in Kent County, Michigan Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a hit-and-run accident with an unexpected twist: the suspect was a Cross Creek Elementary School teacher. Witnesses said she appeared intoxicated after fleeing the scene, and when officers confronted her, the dash cam evidence left little room for denial. Despite insisting she wasn’t drunk — even swearing she would “blow zeros” on a breathalyzer — deputies discovered she was more than twice the legal limit at just 8:30 in the morning. She was arrested for DUI, failure to yield the right of way, and leaving the scene of an accident. To make matters worse, she admitted to drinking far more than the “three glasses of wine” she originally claimed, and admitted she had been drinking well past 3 AM before heading to teach her elementary school students. This video breaks down the full incident, the investigation, the shocking admissions, and the unanswered questions: How will this affect her teaching career?
