She paid $500 to board a cruise that reportedly cost more than $1,200, but once she was on the ship, cruise security discovered fraudulent credit-card activity. Police questioned her about who arranged the trip, why someone she barely knew paid for the cruise, and what she was supposed to do while onboard. She claimed she didn't know the arrangement involved a scam. During the investigation, officers also discovered that she was carrying a fake ID. She was ultimately taken into custody, and police told her she was being charged with possession of a fake ID. The case raises another question: should she also have faced fraud charges?
