On the afternoon of October 30, 2024, chaos erupted near the intersection of Belle Terre Parkway and Pine Lakes Parkway North in Palm Coast, Florida. Around 2:13 PM, frantic reports flooded in about a white Dodge Journey recklessly weaving through lanes and smashing into mailboxes along London Drive. Concerned citizens described a scene straight out of a nightmare, prompting deputies to spring into action. When authorities caught up with the erratic driver, identified as Gregg Wilson, his behavior raised even more eyebrows. Although Gregg assured deputies he was medically fine, his heavily slurred speech, delayed responses, and inability to stay focused painted a troubling picture. Determined to rule out any health emergencies, deputies called in Palm Coast Fire Department’s Rescue 22 and Engine 23 to evaluate the situation. What followed was as perplexing as it was concerning. Despite medics finding no immediate medical issues, Gregg refused offers for hospital care or assistance, insisting he was fine—even as his impaired state told a different story. The drama escalated when Gregg was arrested for driving under the influence, ending his dangerous afternoon. His vehicle was towed, and he was transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility without resistance. This unsettling incident serves as a stark reminder of the risks posed by impaired driving and the swift response needed to protect public safety.
