I observed a Honda Accord traveling south on Washington Avenue. As the vehicle passed my position, the driver appeared to duck her head and reach under the seat. I began to follow the vehicle and observed it failing to maintain its lane, crossing over the double yellow line and straddling the white dashed line. I initiated a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Carmer Street. Upon approaching the passenger side, I detected a strong odor of alcohol. The driver's eyes were bloodshot and watery, and her speech was slurred. The suspect admitted to drinking and stated, 'I'm f***ed up' during the field sobriety test explanation. Due to her inability to maintain balance, the tests were terminated for her safety, and she was placed under arrest. At headquarters, her breath test results showed a BAC of .22%.
