Burglar Caught In The Act- Police Foil Burglars Late Night Heist November 15, 2021- Livonia Mi Police got a tip from a undercover officer that a man was standing at the doors of a closed gas station at around 2:00 am . Responding officers quickly swept in behind the wall next to the gas station where the man had his car parked with no lights on. After approaching the man, he told officers that he stopped to use the bathroom, and that there was a person across the street that was near by as well, but officers were not buying the story. After a search was conducted in the vehicle, officers found a backpack with tools, with broken glass on the bottom. Officers ran his name through LEIN and discovered the man has a history of doing the same thing, and was eventually taken in after further investigation, for having the tools since he was permitted in having such since just being released recently for similar convictions. Police see man besides gas station after hours, wearing a mask and looking inside gas station, and discover tools in his vehicle.
