In the early hours of December 18, officers responded to a disturbance after a woman allegedly threw a pumpkin at her neighbor’s door, waking a child and causing damage. When officers arrived, they found her intoxicated and agitated. Despite being warned to stay inside, she later emerged holding two knives, scraping them together, and refusing to follow commands. When she threatened to stab officers, a taser was deployed, leading to her arrest. She was taken to the hospital for evaluation before being booked into jail on charges of disorderly conduct, obstruction, and terroristic threats. What do you think? Should officers have tried a different approach before using a taser, or was it necessary in this situation? Let us know in the comments below.
