Florida DUI bodycam footage recorded in Milton, Florida (Santa Rosa County) shows a Christmas Eve traffic stop that resulted in a DUI arrest following standardized field sobriety testing. During the early morning hours of December 24, 2022 (Christmas Eve), deputies with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office observed a vehicle driving erratically on Caroline Street in Milton, Florida. Deputies initiated a traffic stop near Zaxby’s. The driver, Alexis Porter (24), was questioned regarding alcohol consumption. Deputies documented indicators commonly associated with impairment, including confusion, slurred speech, watery eyes, and poor coordination. Deputies then conducted standardized field sobriety tests, including: Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) Walk-and-Turn One-Leg Stand Based on the totality of circumstances and the driver’s performance on the field sobriety exercises, deputies placed her under arrest for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). After being secured inside the patrol vehicle, the driver managed to slip out of her handcuffs while deputies were handling the vehicle and personal property. Deputies attempted to arrange a lawful pickup for the vehicle; it was ultimately towed, and the driver was transported to the Santa Rosa County Jail for processing.
