An Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper initiated a traffic stop on a Chevrolet passenger car for failing to signal. When asked for his license, the driver, Edwin Prude, responded that he was not driving but "traveling." The Trooper warned him that refusal to provide identification would result in arrest. As the Trooper opened the car door, Edwin shifted the vehicle into drive and fled south on US Highway 823. The Trooper pursued at high speeds for several miles before successfully executing a PIT maneuver on the entrance ramp to State Route 52 from Galli Pike. Edwin was taken into custody, and a search of the vehicle revealed a loaded firearm. He was charged with failure to comply and possession of a firearm under disability. ⚠️Note: Footage from this video was obtained via the Ohio Public Records Act (R.C. 149.43) All persons featured on the channel are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
