An Arkansas State Trooper attempted to stop a black pickup truck after observing the driver failing to maintain his lane and not wearing a seatbelt on Interstate 57. During the traffic stop, the trooper discovered the truck was displaying a fictitious Arkansas license plate and that the driver, later identified as Troy Garrett Alexander, was driving on a suspended license. Before the investigation could continue, the driver suddenly fled the scene, leading troopers on a pursuit through a network of rural farm roads in Jackson County. The chase continued across multiple county roads before the pickup left the roadway, became airborne after striking a culvert, and crashed into a parked semi-truck. Following the crash, the suspect initially failed to comply with commands before being taken into custody. Alexander was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and was later booked into the Jackson County Detention Center on numerous charges, including felony fleeing, resisting arrest, reckless driving, fictitious tags, driving on a suspended license, and multiple traffic violations.
