A routine traffic stop on Copley Road turned into a chaotic and controversial encounter. Officers pulled over Jordan Elely with his young son in the car — but within seconds, the stop escalated into a violent struggle. Bodycam shows officers pulling him from the vehicle as his son watches in fear. The situation spirals as Elely is dragged, punched, pinned to the ground, and repeatedly claims he can’t breathe. Officers call for additional units, secure the child, and continue restraining Elely while bystanders record the unfolding chaos. After being searched and checked by medics, Elely was taken into custody. He was later acquitted of resisting arrest — and has since filed a lawsuit accusing the officers of excessive force.
