Around 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, Miami Beach police responded to reports of a man in camouflage walking into traffic. The suspect, identified as Saliya Siby, was armed with a knife, carrying canisters, and claimed to have a bomb. Body camera footage shows officers trying to de-escalate the situation as Siby threatened them. Police used beanbag rounds, and a taser was eventually deployed before taking him into custody. During the arrest, Siby allegedly headbutted an officer, who required eight stitches. Police also revealed that Siby had been previously arrested in December 2024 for allegedly impersonating an officer. 0:00 - Intro 0:13 - Police bodycam 3:30 - Suspect arrest Disclaimer: The following content contains graphic scenes of violence that may be disturbing to some viewers.
