He found a white 2016 Land Rover Discovery with its airbags deployed. The driver was 18-year-old Olivia Dunn. Her parents arrived soon after in another car. The SUV sat sideways in the road after hitting a tree. Olivia told the officer she slid out of a driveway. Patrolman Kevin Marhefka arrived at 12:12 AM to start a DWI check. Olivia admitted she drank alcohol at a friend's house earlier that night. Because she seemed impaired, the officer asked her to do sobriety tests. Olivia struggled with the tests. During the eye exam, the officer saw her eyes jerk instead of following smoothly. She failed the walk and turn test by missing her steps and turning wrong. She also failed the one leg stand by putting her foot down too early. Based on the crash, her admission, and the failed tests, Patrolman Marhefka arrested Olivia for DUI. Police impounded her car for 12 hours under Johns Law. He then took her to the Kinnelon Police Department for a breath test. At the station, Olivia agreed to provide samples. Her results showed a BAC of 0.208%. This was far above the 0.01% limit for drivers under 21 in New Jersey. Once processing ended, her parents signed a liability form and took her home. Patrolman Marhefka gave Olivia tickets for DUI, reckless driving, careless driving, and failing to stay in her lane. Her case is still pending in Boonton Township Municipal Court as of March 24, 2026. If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video.
