Abuse of power is a critical issue and it’s important to hold authority figures accountable for the way they act. Unfortunately, not all encounters with law enforcement are fair or just. People need to be vigilant in protecting their civil liberties, and should document moments when police make unfair use of their authority. So the real lesson here is to always document interactions with authorities and seek legal action when wronged. It is the only way to ensure that we live in a truly democratic country and not an authoritarian or police-state. I will always advocate for justice and transparency in law enforcement, to make sure that those in power respect the rights and dignity of all individuals alike.
