On February __, 2025, Volusia County deputies tried stopping fugitive Randolph Brown, wanted on a no-bond warrant for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Brown immediately rammed two patrol cars, fled the stop, and drove into oncoming traffic multiple times before crashing in DeLand, Florida. Deputies say Brown struck two innocent drivers, who reported neck pain but no life-threatening injuries. After the crash, Brown tried running on foot but was taken down by K-9 Red. Inside his vehicle, deputies found a loaded firearm and a backpack full of drugs including oxycodone, MDMA, Xanax, marijuana, suboxone, and more—leading to charges like armed trafficking, aggravated fleeing, aggravated assault on law enforcement, hit-and-run, battery on a K-9, and resisting with violence.
