#CrimeCamNow On February 3, 2024, a Greenfield Police Department officer on patrol in Greenfield, Wisconsin, spotted a Lincoln SUV speeding at 60 mph in a 30 mph zone. The officer initiated a traffic stop, and while the vehicle slowed down, it did not stop immediately—leading the officer to suspect a potential vehicle pursuit. A short distance down the road, the Lincoln finally came to a stop in the driveway of a private residence. As soon as the vehicle stopped, the driver immediately exited. He was wearing what appeared to be a law enforcement vest, a radio, a duty belt with a firearm holster, and a gold badge. When the officer asked him which agency he was with, the man ignored the question. Instead, he claimed he was responding to an emergency, stating that his "informant inside the house was overdosing." The officer insisted on accompanying him inside and called for backup and an ambulance. The suspect knocked on the door, calling out for someone named Joe. When three residents opened the door, they appeared confused about any overdose. Instead, they began arguing with the suspect. They told the officer that they used to be friends, accused him of impersonating a police officer and stealing $1,500 from them—an act they claimed was caught on camera. Backup officers arrived and separated the arguing parties. The initial officer entered the home to speak with the residents, who provided text messages exchanged with the suspect. They stated they had known him for about four months and had planned to meet him at a bar that evening. However, while they waited at the bar, the suspect entered their home and stole $1,500 from a safe. Meanwhile, another officer questioned the suspect, who continued to insist that he was responding to an overdose. When asked which agency he worked for, he showed his badge and pretended to be speaking to someone on the phone. He refused to provide identification but gave a name and date of birth, which, when checked, came back as false. When officers asked him again for any form of ID, he refused. The suspect was then arrested and placed in the back of a patrol vehicle. A search of his SUV revealed a firearm inside. He was charged with fleeing, carrying a concealed knife, burglary, obstruction, impersonating a peace officer and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. While in jail, officers searched him again and found two CIA special agent badges. He became frustrated and punched the glass next to the cell door, breaking his hand. He was then transported to the local hospital. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/CrimeCamNow Twitter: https://twitter.com/CrimeCamNow Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/CrimeCamNow
