On Thursday, June 27, 2024, at approximately 0622 hours, West Palm Beach Law enforcement officers responded to a location in reference to a reported theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant, who identified as homeless and provided details of the incident. The complainant mentioned being approached by an unknown individual described as a black male with specific physical attributes and clothing. The individual exhibited erratic behavior and allegedly assaulted the complainant before fleeing the scene with stolen property. Following the incident, law enforcement officers conducted a search for the suspect in the vicinity, eventually locating and attempting to apprehend the individual. The suspect resisted arrest, leading to a physical altercation and subsequent charges being filed against him. The suspect's identity was eventually confirmed, and legal proceedings are underway. The suspect, identified as Patrick, has been charged with multiple offenses and is currently in custody awaiting a court appearance scheduled for October.
