Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: At about 1:20 AM on December 20, 2024, Red Bank Patrolman Christopher Fuentes saw a 2025 Volvo parked the wrong way outside Volcafe. He turned on his lights and approached the driver, identified as Dana. Dana said she had been at Gabriella’s Italian Steakhouse and had argued with her boyfriend earlier that night. As they spoke, Fuentes smelled alcohol and noticed signs that she might be impaired. Dana could not find all her documents and admitted she had been drinking. Fuentes asked Dana to take field sobriety tests. During the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test, he assessed her eye movements. On the Walk and Turn, she failed to keep her heels together, touched her toes incorrectly, miscounted, and turned the wrong way. She also failed the One Leg Stand, lowering her foot before the test ended. The smell of alcohol, a wine glass in the car, and Dana’s test performance led Fuentes to arrest her for driving while drunk. Her car was towed and held for at least 12 hours under John’s Law, and she was taken to the police station for further testing. At the station, Dana read the standard statement for drivers and agreed to provide breath samples. The test showed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.205%, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08%. She received tickets for driving under the influence, having an open container, failing to signal properly, and not carrying her driver’s license, registration, or proof of insurance.
