Impaired Driver’s Hit-And-Run Escape Ends In A Disaster Officers were dispatched following a hit-and-run accident where a suspect vehicle struck another automobile and fled the scene. Roughly ten minutes after the collision, officers located the matching car parked nearby and found the female driver, identified as Stevie, unresponsive and passed out behind the steering wheel. Upon waking her up, officers observed severe physical signs of impairment. After failing to complete basic sobriety tasks due to an inability to balance or speak clearly, she was taken into custody. A subsequent search of her vehicle yielded items associated with narcotics use, and the suspect continued to lose consciousness during transport to the booking station.
