A traffic stop on Middletown Road led to the arrests of two individuals after officers discovered multiple open beer bottles in the vehicle and an active warrant for the driver. The incident began when an officer observed a gold Nissan making an illegal U-turn and later determined that the vehicle's registration did not match. Upon stopping the car, the driver provided an El Salvador identification card but was unable to produce a valid driver's license. Officers detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle, and the passenger was found in possession of open alcohol containers. As officers attempted to verify identities and ownership of the vehicle, the passenger became uncooperative and encouraged the driver to flee the scene. Both individuals were then placed under arrest. Further investigation revealed that the passenger was in possession of stolen credit cards and a fraudulent identification card. The vehicle was impounded, and both individuals were transported to police headquarters, where they were charged accordingly before being released with pending court dates.
