A late-night room key mix-up at a College Park Travelodge turns into a hotel lobby takedown when a clerk and her teenage son follow a guest to his room and “put hands on” him over a key that doesn’t work. Bodycam from the College Park Police Department shows officers arriving to find the guest bleeding from the head, then tracking down the clerk and her son after witnesses say they forced the hotel room door and attacked him inside. Bodycam shows officers interviewing security, reviewing hotel video, and then confronting the clerk and her son in the lobby. When they try to arrest the son for battery, he resists, mom jumps into the struggle, and both end up in cuffs on obstruction and battery charges. In this breakdown, we walk through the full bodycam and the incident report from College Park Police so you can decide who went too far and what this means under Georgia law.
