On May 14th, 2023, officers were dispatched to an escalating situation following a traffic stop where a suspect had fled the scene. Officers located the vehicle, locating the male suspect and female passenger. The passenger, Natasha, who appeared intoxicated, began disrupting officers by shouting toward the male suspect detained inside placed in a police vehicle. Despite officers telling Natasha that she was free to leave, Natasha continued shouting and walking towards the arrested male, ignoring officers telling her to leave. Officers warned that if she continued shouting, she would be placed under arrest. The female suspect continued shouting as officers placed her under arrest. The suspect began resisting officers as they attempted to place her in handcuffs before taking the suspect to a police vehicle. The suspect refused to walk with officers to the police cruiser. After eventually taking the suspect to the police cruiser, she was asked if she had anything in her pockets that would harm officers upon searching her. She refused to answer before stating, "No, y'all can call my lawyer." The suspect continued to shout and resist officers while being secured inside the police vehicle. Officers located a suspect’s ID card and checked her info before being taken to the jail for further processing before being taken to a nearby hospital. The suspect was uninjured and cleared by medical personnel before being released from the hospital to officers for transport back to jail.
