On December 22, 2024, police in Bartlett, Illinois, were tipped off by a motorist who reported erratic and unsafe driving from a black SUV. After finding the vehicle had crashed over the curb at a nearby strip mall, the investigating officer discovered the driver appeared to be asleep at the wheel. Worse yet, a distressed small child was also in the backseat. Suspecting a DUI case, the officer initiated field sobriety tests and made an arrest. Fortunately, the child's adult sister was able to retrieve him from the scene, but it was eventually learned that the driver, the child's mother, had prior DUI arrests. The suspect has an upcoming court date of July 07, 2025.
