In this case, a hunter shot what he thought was a legal moose, only to realize he made a mistake. After realizing the moose was sublegal, he called it in. In the end, he received a non-criminal violation for the sublegal moose. He pled guilty to the charge and was ordered to pay a total of $320. However, the court factored in his cooperation and waived $300. For comparison, moose fines in our prior videos have typically been well in excess of $1,000, with one interaction reaching $4,600.
