This raw bodycam clip from December 5, 2022, captures a tense moment during the arrest of Daniel Hilts, a 32-year-old patron from Punta Gorda, Florida, at Anthony’s Restaurant & Pub in Joliet, Illinois. Filmed in the parking lot at 1:50 AM, this YouTube Short shows an officer declaring, “You’re under arrest,” and ordering Hilts to “Have a seat in the car,” as he protests, “I have my Social Security card and shit, man.” The officer directs him to “Put your feet here” and “Sit back,” adjusting his position for comfort, while Hilts complies, saying, “Yes, sir,” but notes, “I’m tall, bro.” This gritty scene is pure fuel for true crime fans. The chaos erupted when Hilts, ejected from Anthony’s for disruptive behavior, tried to drive his car, prompting Officers Joseph Robinson and Robert Bukala to intervene. After rejecting ride-shares or a security escort to his nearby hotel, Hilts got hostile, leading to a takedown and charges of aggravated battery to a peace officer, aggravated assault, obstructing justice, criminal trespass to property, and resisting arrest. The neon-lit Anthony’s parking lot sets a raw stage for this real-life crime saga, perfect for fans of unfiltered police bodycam action. True crime junkies will devour Hilts’ reluctant compliance and cramped car struggle, offering a raw peek into a high-stakes arrest. The officer’s adjustments and Hilts’ protests crank up the drama in this wild scene. Was Hilts just uncomfortable, or still defiant?
