Dramatic bodycam audio captures the alarming moment a Florida DUI suspect leveled racist threats at a Black deputy. According to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, while being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, 53-year-old Julie Edwards can be heard threatening a cross burning in the officer’s yard and invoking the KKK, saying: "My KKK friends will burn your family." Charged with DUI, prior refusal of testing, resisting without violence, and threatening a law enforcement officer, Edwards was taken into custody and later released on bond. This case serves as a grim reminder that prejudice and aggression can surface even during routine traffic stops — and body-worn cameras are crucial in holding individuals accountable.
