Romantic Pursuit Turns into Police Chase Officers responded to a possible burglary in progress, with the dispatched call notes describing a white male with blonde hair banging on the side door. Upon arrival, officers observed a male hiding in the backyard by the garage. The suspect, later identified as Matthew Conley, fled from officers. After a brief foot pursuit, Conley surrendered and was handcuffed without further incident. He was found to have a probation violation warrant for dangerous drugs and was charged with obstructing official business. While sitting in the back of the patrol car, Conley stated that he went to the house to speak with his girlfriend, who he believed was seeing another male. When he saw officers approaching, he thought it was the other guy and ran. However, officers observed no signs of a burglary and no related damage. Conley was denied entry at Summit County Jail and given a summons. ⚠️Note: Footage from this video was obtained via the Ohio Public Records Act (R.C. 149.43) All persons featured on the channel are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
