On a late night in Kent County Michigan, officers responded to a shocking home invasion that left an 11 year old girl fighting for her life. The suspect — 24 year old Ricardo Perez Castillo, an active Marine Corps recruiter — was found pantless inside the home, already being held at gunpoint by a resident when police arrived. During his police interview Ricardo admits to breaking into the home, grabbing a knife, and attacking the sleeping child — claiming he was so drunk he thought the apocalypse was happening. The victim survived. Ricardo was charged with assault with intent to murder, first degree home invasion, and assault with intent to commit sexual conduct. Watch the full bodycam and interrogation footage.
