Memphis, Tennessee ** (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) ** *** I love the decision to fire shots into the tires to disable the vehicle.*** On 12/16/21, Arkansas State Trooper Morris assisted U.S. Marshals in the pursuit of an armed and dangerous subject from South Carolina. The Suspect eventually got on I-55 approaching the Arkansas-Tennessee line. Trooper Morris was granted permission to continue the chase as it entered Memphis, due to being the only marked unit. As they approached McLemore Avenue, the suspect drove past Trooper Morris and fired numerous rounds into his vehicle. Although wounded, Trooper Morris grabbed his rifle, placed it on the dashboard, and when it was clear, fired 10 rounds through his windshield. The Trooper’s shots were deadly and the two individuals in the car succumbed from their injuries, and were pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified as Terrance Dogan (27) and John Taylor (18).
