She walked into a check-cashing store in Ohio with a $28,000 check and a paper ID. By the time officers finished running her documents, she was in handcuffs asking how much prison time she could get. On August 9, 2023, officers were called to a check-cashing store after staff raised concerns about a woman attempting to negotiate a $28,000 check using a paper ID. The woman told officers the hard plastic copy was still coming from the BMV. While she was still explaining, officers ran her information. It did not come back as a valid Ohio driver's license. When told the ID was fake, her response was one question: "How is it fake?" During the arrest she called the search a privacy violation, complained about the cuffs, and asked to call her kids. Meanwhile, officers searched her belongings and found a second ID, three Social Security papers she claimed belonged to her children, and a check confirmed to be under someone else's name. Officers determined she had a forged government document and someone else's Social Security number. She was placed under arrest for identity theft. After Miranda rights were read, she stopped asking about the check and the ID. She started asking about bond. And then, at the very end, just one question. No court outcome has been publicly confirmed at the time of this video.
