On April 17, 2025, Los Angeles Police Department officers observed a black 2020 Lamborghini Urus traveling at a high rate of speed near Sherman Way and Woodley Avenue. Officers alleged that the Lamborghini straddled lanes, made unsafe lane changes and nearly collided with another vehicle. When LAPD officers attempted a traffic stop, the driver allegedly failed to yield and entered Interstate 405. LAPD requested that the California Highway Patrol take over the pursuit after it moved onto the freeway. The Lamborghini reached speeds well above 120 miles per hour on Interstate 10. The driver traveled through traffic using multiple lanes, passed vehicles on the shoulder, ran several red lights and continued fleeing despite marked patrol vehicles using emergency lights and sirens. The pursuit eventually approached an active injury-crash investigation on eastbound Interstate 10. Traffic had been stopped while CHP officers, firefighters and other emergency personnel worked in the roadway. The Lamborghini continued through the scene before another CHP unit successfully performed a PIT maneuver west of Vermont Avenue. The driver then climbed through the Lamborghini’s sunroof and onto its hood. An officer climbed onto the hood to apprehend him, and both reportedly fell to the ground during the struggle. The driver was taken into custody at approximately 12:15 a.m. on April 18, 2025. One CHP officer reportedly suffered injuries to his left wrist, hand, thumb and neck. Officers reported that the driver displayed red and watery eyes, dilated pupils, profuse sweating and rapid or erratic speech. A pipe containing brown residue was reportedly discovered during an inventory of the Lamborghini. The driver was transported to a local hospital, where two vials of blood were eventually collected after officers obtained a search warrant. The records provided for this video did not include the blood-test results. The Driver was booked into the metropolitan detention center on the following charges: 245(C) - Assault w/Deadly Weapon - No Firearm/Likely GBI Peace Officer/Fireman 2800.2(A - Evasion - Wanton Disregard for Safety 23153(F) - DUI - Drug and Alcohol - w/Injury This video documents a law-enforcement encounter using footage and information released through a Freedom of Information Act request. The footage has been condensed for time and sensitive information has been redacted. All Charges described are allegations based on official Police records. All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. For inquiries or footage suggestions: Contact@BodycamsTV.com #Lamborghini #police #chp #cops #california #bodycam
