On March 27, 2025, Roswell Police Officer Willis observed a vehicle with a broken taillight and an expired temporary tag. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was being driven by a 27-year-old woman. Officer Willis advised the occupants that he could smell alcohol emanating from the vehicle. The passenger stated he was the one drinking. The driver initially denied consuming any alcohol. She was asked to step out of the vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the tests, she was placed under arrest. She refused to provide breath samples or consent to a blood draw. She was charged with Aggravated Driving While Under the Influence (2nd offense) and Failure to Have Properly Working Taillights. She was booked into the County Jail. On July 8, 2025, both charges were dismissed by the prosecutor.
