On November 30, 2024, Whitman County Sheriff's Deputy Olin stopped a 41-year-old man for allegedly failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. The man presented a driver's license, but when Deputy Olin went back to his patrol car to run the driver's license, it came back as suspended due to the man failing to take care of a speeding ticket that he received in July. Deputy Olin wrote the man a criminal citation for Driving While License Suspended (DWLS). Deputy Olin then advised the man that he could not allow him to drive and that he should immediately take care of the original ticket and get his license reinstated. As Deputy Olin turned away to return to his patrol vehicle, the man drove away. Deputy Olin's reaction to seeing this is priceless.
