On Monday, December 26, 2022, Nashville International Airport police responded to a line-cutting dispute at the Southwest ticketing counter. After a passenger became combative and refused to comply, officers detained and arrested her for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Following the investigation, officers arrested the woman after she engaged in a verbal altercation in the terminal line, repeatedly shouted at officers, refused lawful commands to calm down, and actively resisted during the physical arrest—including pulling away and refusing to step back. Based on the conduct documented in this body camera footage, the following charges could potentially apply: *Disorderly Conduct: For engaging in violent or tumultuous behavior, creating a public disturbance in a commercial airport terminal, and loudly shouting at officers despite repeated orders to desist. *Resisting Arrest / Obstructing an Officer: For physical non-compliance, pulling away during handcuffing, and actively hindering officers in the execution of their official duties. The final charges are determined by prosecutors based on the available evidence and applicable law. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
