According to the report, an angler on a recreational fishing vessel reportedly fired a rifle towards a commercial fishing vessel offshore in the Florida Keys. In the end, the suspect was charged with displaying a firearm during a felony, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, and firing a weapon in public. He later pled no contest to the assault charge and firing a weapon in public, was adjudicated guilty, and was sentenced to 36 months of supervised probation. He was also ordered to pay $933.00 in costs and fines which remain entirely unpaid. Shortly after going on probation, a warrant was issued for his arrest. Unfortunately, the documents for the warrant are sealed, but it appears that he violated the terms set in his order of probation.
