On July 10, 2023, an officer responded to a report of a physical assault on a juvenile. Upon arrival, the suspect was found to be "volatile" and emitted a strong odor of alcohol while screaming at the officer. The suspect repeatedly ignored lawful commands and physically resisted being handcuffed, eventually slapping the officer’s forearm. This defiance led the officer to deploy a Taser to gain compliance. Even after being restrained, the suspect continued to be belligerent, physically grabbing the officer and yelling racial slurs at the victim and witnesses.
