A horrific crime turns into a massive, high-speed chase through the streets of Tampa. After violently attacking the mother of his children, 33-year-old Michael Bresnahan takes off in a black SUV. When police finally spot him, Bresnahan points an AK-47 at officers and floors it. A police helicopter tracks him from above as he drives erratically and smashes through fences to escape. The chase finally comes to a sudden halt when Bresnahan violently crashes into an innocent driver on Florida Avenue. Immediately after the crash, he opens fire on police. Surrounded by 18 officers, a massive shootout erupts. When the smoke finally clears, the terrifying standoff ends with the suspect taking his own life.
