On April 28, 2024, Oxford Police Officer Weaver observed a vehicle travel at a high rate of speed through a stop sign. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the 20-year-old woman sitting behind the wheel. Officer Weaver thought that someone else in the vehicle might have switched seats with the driver, but everyone in the car denied it. The woman also denied consuming alcohol multiple times. Nonetheless, she was asked to step out of the vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the tests, she was placed under arrest for DUI. She attempted to submit to an evidential breath test, but she failed to provide an adequate amount of breath, and the test was deemed to be a refusal. Officer Weaver ended up giving her a ride home after issuing her several citations. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
